Here are a few projects for agency and freelance clients - not chronological, not by fancyness, but just a couple that had special requirements. And none of these get done alone. Ever. Duh.
Creative Production and Instagram - agency work
At advertising agencies, my work was as a creative producer for a variety of video and still media. In that work, I would collaborate with art directors, animators, editors, photographers, and client teams to work from the initial brief to delivery. This could include creative input, archival research, vendor sourcing and contracting, and general sherpa work to get the work done on time and budget while keeping the creative ambition as the top priority.
For the Caribou work shown here, I was the creative producer working with an animator and art director to make a campaign with a half-dozen unique videos worked separately for square (feed) and 9x16 (stories) posting.
The still image is of an installation we did in a store, collaborating with a yarn artist whose work drifted in the breeze as people in the building walked by.

Bonus Features, Extra Skills
Video game writing, design, and production
I wrote, designed, and produced video games for the Nintendo handheld and home consoles, PlayStation, and Xbox for Activision and Destineer. All were based on existing licenses and each of them had hard work put in. Even the awkward ones.
Fun fact: At these offices, there were more women’s bathroom stalls than female staff.
Art History
I’m working on my masters in art history at Hunter. I love it. I got my art history BA with a 4.0 GPA while working as a full-time producer at an advertising agency. I’m really proud of it and loved the classes.
Photography art direction
Both for clients and in-house, I’ve art directed photo shoots for specific needs. On the advertising side, it was usually because the images were going into something technical or interactive and I understood the usage. At Rally, the new photography is helpful for using multiple assets in collected presentations (like videos, articles, ads, transaction pages). The goal was to add something a little academic and heroic across all of the pieces in the archive.
Game Informer
I wrote for Game Informer when magazines were hot shit big deals. I was the first female staff writer and was full time for five years when most everyone else in games press was a guy. I’m glad that’s changing! It was a weird, fun job.
Management and mentorship
I’ve led teams and departments in technical and creative roles. I will always (always!) talk to someone who reaches out for mentorship.
Surprisingly technical
My first job above minimum wage was as phone support for Gateway Computers. Not in the cow building. Everything outside the monitor was “user serviceable” and it wasn’t weird to have a call that lasted your whole shift. I walked an elderly woman through replacing her motherboard, over the phone. My next job was IT. I do not want to troubleshoot your network but can explain what defragging a hard drive does.
